Headaches and Dizziness
Neck problems are a cause of headaches and dizziness or vertigo
Tension Type Headache
This is the most common type of headache that we see at The Spine Team, it comes from tightness of the muscles under the back of the head where it meets the top of the neck. It is usually all around the head felt mostly in the frontal and temporal areas and sometimes accompanied by a specific, sometimes severe, pain to the base of the skull (occiput) on one side. It can come and go, usually passing with a change of situation or overnight and can be responsive to over the counter medication or treatment of the neck.
